123 HP Officejet Pro 8725 Paper Basic Installation

The 123 HP Officejet Pro 8725 Printer is designed to accept most types of Office Paper for Print purpose. Use 123 HP Officejet Pro 8725 Paper for achieving optimum Print Quality.

Photo Printing

  3. HP Everyday Photo Paper – low cost, casual photo printing that is durable and long lasting

Business Documents

Everyday Printing

All of the listed papers are used every day for the sake of less smearing, bolder blacks and vivid colors.

  1. HP Bright White Inkjet Paper – exhibits high contrast colors and sharp text, opaque enough for printing newsletters, reports and flyers
  2. 123 HP Officejet Pro 8725 Printing Paper – for durable and long lasting documents
  3. 123 HP Officejet Pro 8725 Paper – preferred for drafts, copies, memos and other everyday documents

Suggestion on selecting and using Paper:

  • Always load the Input Tray using one unique type & paper size
  • Use the paper-width guides in the input tray or Document Feeder to feed the papers properly
  • Load the Input Tray with suitable number of sheets, avoid keeping large number of sheets at once
  • To eliminate the jams and misalignment during printing, avoid loading the following Papers in the Input Tray:
  1. Joint Multipart Forms
  2. Papers that are damaged, curled or wrinkled
  3. Papers with perforations or cutouts
  4. Papers that is heavily textured and embossed
  5. Lightweight Papers that stretches easily
  6. Papers having staples or clips

Load the Paper

To Load a Standard Paper:

  1. Remove the input tray completely
  2. Slide the pair of Paper width guides towards the edge of the input tray
  3. According to the desired 123 HP Officejet Pro 8725 paper length, Slide the Paper length guide present in the input tray
  4. Fix the paper to portrait orientation with print side facing down
  5. In addition, use the stack height marking on the right edge of the input tray to make sure the stack of papers are stuffed properly and aligned according to the paper orientation

Note: Do not load paper while Printer is in operation

  1. Adjust both of the paper width guides and the paper length guide until they touch the edge of the stack of paper
  2. If there is paper after printing is done then check the input tray and remove the paper
  3. Reinsert the input tray into the Printer

Note: Apart from Input Tray1 some models of the printer come with an additional Input Tray2

To load an envelope:

  1. Remove the input tray from underneath the 123 HP Officejet Pro 8725 Printer
  2. If there is paper remaining in the input tray after the print job done, and is not compatible for further printing, then remove it from the input tray
  3. Insert the envelopes to input tray with print side down in portrait orientation manner. Make sure the stack of envelopes are pushed to the back edge of the input tray
  4. Adjust both of the paper width guides and the paper length guide until they touch the edge of the stack of envelopes
  5. In addition, use the stack height marking on the left edge of the paper width guide to make sure the stack of papers are stuffed properly
  6. Reinsert the input tray into the Printer

To Load Cards and Photo Paper:

  1. Remove the input tray from underneath the 123 HP Officejet Pro 8725 Printer
  2. Insert the cards or photo paper to input tray with print side down in portrait orientation manner. Make sure the stack of envelopes are pushed to the back edge of the tray
  3. Adjust the paper width guides and the paper length guide until they touch the edge of the stack of envelopes
  4. In addition, use the stack height marking on the left edge of the paper width guide to make sure the stack of papers are stuffed properly
  5. Reinsert the input tray into the Printer

Procedure to load Paper in Input Tray 2:

  1. Remove the input tray2 from underneath the 123 HP Officejet Pro 8725 Printer
  2. Repeat the above steps 2,3, & 4 and check for any paper underneath tray2
  3. Reinsert the input tray2 into the Printer

Load a Document on the Scanner Glass

Load a Document on the Scanner Glass:

Using the Scanner glass you can Copy, Scan or Fax the originals.

Note: Make sure the Scanner glass and lid backing are kept clean to avail the special features offered by 123 HP Officejet Pro 8725 Printers. Make sure you empty the automatic document feeder tray before opening the Scanner lid on the Printer.

To place an original on the Scanner glass:

  1. Open the Scanner Lid
  2. Place your original print side facing down

Tip: Using the engraved guides present along the edge of the Scan to load the original document properly

  1. Close the Scanner Lid

Load a document in the automatic document feeder:

Using the document feeder you can Copy, Scan or Fax the originals.

  1. Place your original print side facing up into the Document Feeder
  2. Slide the paper onto the document feeder and continue so until you hear a tone or see a message on the printer control panel.
  3. Inwardly move both the paper width guides present on the document feeder to hold the Paper intact

Install and Use Accessories

When using an additional input tray then you can configure them using the Printer Control Panel.

Procedure to work with Input Trays:

By default the Printer draws paper from Tray1 and when it gets emptied the Printer access paper from tray2.

  1. Default Tray: Set the default tray from which the Printer can draw Papers
  2. Tray Lock: You can set Tray Lock to make an Input Tray that holds special paper as inaccessible

Procedure to change tray settings using Control Panel:

  1. Make sure to turn the Power ON for Printer
  2. Touch or Swipe down the tab in the Control Panel to display the Dashboard
  3. Touch Setup and tap settings
  4. Scroll through and Touch Tray and Paper Management
  5. Touch to select either Default Tray or Tray Lock and then select the appropriate option
